Purchasing
We regularly attend both National Hunt and Flat sales across the UK, Ireland, and France, sourcing horses of all types for our clients — from youngstock to pinhooks, proven racehorses, and broodmares.

Young Stock
As well as breeding foals on the farm at Upton Court Stables, we are regularly attending all youngstock sales, buying foals, yearlings and two-year-olds privately on stud farms and at sales. Upton Court Stables allows us to offer the complete package of buying youngstock for our clients and rearing them to suit the clients needs, whether that be to be broken in at any age or to aim towards a sale.
Stores
We attend all store sales in the UK, Ireland and France. Between Ed, Molly White, Chris Barber and our sales vets, we try and cover as much ground as possible when attending store sales to try and see as many horses as possible as thoroughly as we can. Store Sales have proven a huge success for us so far having sourced the likes of Grade 1 winner Good Land and Listed winner Jubilee Alpha as stores.
Point To Point
Having worked the store sales hard, we keep track of everything we have seen either privately or at sales and follow them through their careers in their respective point to point yards. Ed is regularly in Ireland, nearly every week during the Irish Point to Point season and has a good grasp on the horses before they make their debuts. We have pictures, videos and reports on a large percentage of horses before they run, allowing us to gauge the depth of races. We attend all point-to-point sales as well as regularly buying stock privately and can offer a range of services, whether it be a private visit to yards to see horses or shortlists for sales, we can offer a range of assistance to buyers.
We also purchase horses for clients to run in point to points, whether that be stores to run and sell or older horses for novice riders, we offer a complete package. We regularly have young horses for sale that are ideal for the point-to-point system and often they represent great value with small money purchases going on to great things such as Famous Clermont going from winning his maiden point to point to winning the Aintree Foxhunters. We can buy, manage and advise point to point trading clients too.
Horses In Training
We attend all Horses in training sales as well as watching all online sales. We offer a range of services from private buys to sale purchasing. We’ve bought anything from 2yo flat winners, national hunt winners, to Jumps winners in France and can provide a range of services to suit clients’ needs in the UK or abroad.
Breeding Stock
We source broodmares for clients globally either at sales or privately for both codes. We are also able to board mares on our farm at Upton Court Stables. We offer mating plan assistance and can offer advice in any format required.
Nominations
We advise on mating plans for mares as well book nominations. Our contacts across the breeding sector means we can make sure your mare goes to the most suitable stallion at the right price.
Investment
We purchase for and aid the running several trading syndicates of foals, yearlings and fillies. By seeking our advice, we can help to assist with buying the right stock to optimise the reward and reduce the risk.
Valuations & Insurance
We work with a range of trusted insurance providers in the Thoroughbred industry to find cover that best suits your needs. Our valuations support insurance requirements, dispute resolution, partnership dissolutions, and probate matters.
